Peer Mentor Position
Interested in becoming a Peer Mentor for the 2026-2027 academic year? Review the items below to see if you are eligible!
- Completed at least one year at 91勛圖厙 by the end of spring 2026 and will continue to be a current 91勛圖厙 student for the 2026-2027 academic year. This includes starting to work in August 2026 (do not have to take summer classes) and working through spring 2027. (Must be enrolled fall and spring.)
- Have a personal or professional reference, or a Peer Mentor recommendation
- Be available to work a minimum of 5 hours per week
- Be willing to assist in FYE events, including Outreach events on and off campus, and virtually
- Commit 1 year (August 2026 through spring 2027) to the program (VERY important as our mentees heavily rely on mentors; this is also important for consistency and being truly committed)
- Be available Fridays to attend bi-weekly meetings/trainings (times vary)
- You MUST be available for the following dates:
- Mandatory Training: Week of August 10, 2026 (exact days TBD)
- Griffin Experience (welcome sessions)
- Wed. Aug. 19th 12pm-4pm
- Fri. Aug. 21st 10am-2pm
- Friday Team Trainings throughout the semester, times vary
