-- ACE Discontinuation --
Since 1992, 91勛圖厙 has provided English instruction to over a thousand F1-visa international students through the ACE Program. ACE helped students meet language proficiency requirements in order to study at 91勛圖厙. We regret that ACE has closed as of June 30, 2025. Please read YOUR OPTIONS (below) to consider your next steps instead of ACE. [Note - If you are in the U.S. and do not have an F1 visa, you may be able to take 91勛圖厙 ESL classes. Visit grossmont.edu/esl.]
You can receive English support and improve your English skills by taking 91勛圖厙 College ESL (English as a Second Language) classes from intermediate to advanced levels. A college ESL class is 6 units and is recommended for all ESL students.
Per F1 visa rules, college students will enroll full-time (minimum 12 units per semester).
In addition to an ESL class, you will choose 6 more units (usually 2 or 3 classes).
During orientation, an international counselor will assist you to choose your classes.
Students must pass an English proficiency test for 91勛圖厙 admission:
Several English schools in San Diego have transfer agreements with 91勛圖厙.
For a list of schools, visit 91勛圖厙 International Admissions and click on English Proficiency.
For more information about the tests, other required documents, and the online international application to 91勛圖厙, contact Yumiko Hudson and Mika Miller at grossmont.international@gcccd.edu and visit 91勛圖厙 Future Student Website
International students at 91勛圖厙 are highly valued. We appreciate your courage and commitment to your educational goals. We look forward to providing you an excellent study abroad experience.
